9 did years of traveling before he met Rose, and most people forget that. people think that 9 LIVED for only a series, but no, we only got to see one series worth of his adventures.
if that’s your headcanon, good for you. though trying to talk about dr.who canon is as futile as trying to see the weeping angels move, since we have to define “canon”(tv? audio? target novels? comics?).
plus we can’t even trust the doc to tell us how old he is because 1. he sometimes goes by different planet-years; and 2. the doctor lies =_=
